All scuba classes have a maximum of 6 students per Instructor, to make your learning and diving
the most enjoyable possible.
The course schedule is set with each class regardless of the number of
students.
Unlike other dive operations, we won't cancel a course due to low
enrollment...you'll
just receive more personal attention from us! In fact,
Semi Private and Private
Classes are also
available.
All students may use the latest NEW scuba equipment available to us.
Students are required to have their own Snorkel, Mask,
Fins, Booties, Swim
Cap and SSI dive log.
We
rent the pool at the Rye YMCA on Monday nights 8-10pm. Sunday pool sessions
are available for PRIVATE CLASSES ONLY.
Classes
are held in the store in Mamaroneck, usually from 6pm to 9pm. COURSE
PRICE INCLUDES REQUIRED CLASS MATERIALS.
All
students should be comfortable in the water and in general good health. All
Courses require a Medical
Statement
to be completed
BEFORE any in-water activity.
The purpose of this
Medical Questionnaire is to find out if you should be examined by your
doctor before participating in recreational diver training.
A positive response to a
question does not necessarily disqualify you from diving.
A positive response means that there is a preexisting condition that may
affect your safety while diving and you must seek the advice of your
physician prior to engaging in dive activities. Your Doctor will need to
sign this form giving you clearance to participate.
The following is provided for all training pool sessions:
BCD's
Air
Cylinder's
Weights
Regulators
Scuba
Experience Classes
SCUBA Rangers and Master Scuba Ranger Programs
Scuba Rangers is the diving industry's original kids scuba program. It
gets them involved in water safety, scuba diving and the excitement of underwater
exploration. All diving will take place in the pool with a total
diving system. This is NOT a Open Water Certification course. Each
Scuba Ranger receives a activity book, log book and DVD. Your child will participate in
different specialties each week, one specialty per week. After completing 15
specialties your child will receive the ultimate honor of Master Ranger.
Rangers need to be at least 8 years old at the start of the course and
have their own mask, snorkel and fins. Each program is divided into two
sessions at the pool where you register.
Not sure if Scuba Diving is for you? We offer this program as a pool
only experience. The program is a one night introduction to the
world of Scuba Diving, that gives participants a chance to try Scuba Diving.
All equipment is provided.
